  • The Better Company is a founder-led menstrual health brand created to challenge stigma, reduce waste and reshape an everyday category. Founded by Brighton-based mother of three Ruth Marsden, the brand was born from a personal frustration with disposable sanitary products and their impact on the planet, paired with a desire to make sustainable choices feel accessible and empowering. What began as a conversation between sisters has grown into a purpose-driven business built on quality, education and impact - creating sustainable menstrual products while gifting one for every sale to someone who needs it most.

  • Our role was to build a confident, future-facing brand system with room for growth and world-building. The Better Company sits as the hero brand, with product names layered clearly within the hierarchy across BetterCup, Better Pads and the Period Planner. The initial launch centred around the BetterCup, with tube packaging designed to be shelfie-worthy and instantly disruptive in a traditionally clinical, muted marketplace. As the range has expanded, so has the visual language—introducing multi-size packaging for Better Pads, a considered journal design for the Period Planner, and an evolving colour palette to support a growing product ecosystem. The result is a bold, cohesive identity that balances clarity with confidence, designed to scale alongside a brand redefining what menstrual health can look and feel like.
